PTG Board :: 2009-2010
The PTG is the fundraising branch of parent leadership. The three major school fund-raisers include the Scrip Program, the Fall Festival and the Auction. PTG meets on a monthly basis and also holds a number of General Parent meetings a year, including Back to School night in September, a featured speaker in January, and a family spaghetti dinner in May.
PTG Purpose:
  • Enhance communication among parents, teachers and administrators
  • Coordinate school fundraising efforts
  • Coordinate spiritual, educational and social resources of home, school and community to provide the best Catholic education possible.
  • Assist Principal and Pastor to integrate school and parish communities

Board Meetings- 2nd Tues. of the month @ 6:30 p.m.
General Meetings- 3rd Tues. of the month @ 7:00, 6 times a year.

PTG Budget Overview
Income:
  • Current dues are $7 and are collected annually as part of re-registration fees.
  • The majority of the PTG income is from our 3 major fundraisers: Please click on the links to learn more or discover how you can help.
    • Fall Festival - Chaired by Susan Nichols
    • Annual Auction - Chaired by Lisa Krekler
    • Scrip - Run by Kim Newton
  • Other income is received from miscellaneous sources, such as our restaurant nights and Target REDCARD registration.
Expenses:
  • Due to your fundraising efforts the PTG is able to provide the school $80,000 each year, which goes directly into the general budget and makes up the difference between tuition charged and the actual cost to educate a child at St. Didacus.
  • Other money is spent on hospitality events such as:
    • Graduation ceremonies for Preschool, Kindergarten & 8th Grade
    • Grandparents' Day
    • New Parent Orientation
    • Monthly Teacher Appreciation Luncheons
  • This year, the PTG will sponsor a cultural arts event: The Presentation of Rapunzil by the San Diego Opera.
Room Parents
Room Parents are an important part of the PTG. They coordinate many events and interact closely with your children's teachers. Room Parents also play a very important part in welcoming new families to our St. Didacus School Community. They will present all new families with a Welcome Letter. They also run the PTG Sponsored Teacher Appreciation Lunches each First Friday. Please support them in their efforts. This year's room parents are:
