Safety and Security

At Saint Didacus, the safety and security of all students and staff members is of utmost importance. In a time when national attention focuses all too frequently on school violence, every reasonable measure has been taken to ensure that Saint Didacus is a safe and secure place to learn and work. Measures designed to protect our school community include:

Surveillance video monitors strategically located throughout school facilities and grounds.
A closed campus from 7 am to 6 pm
Safety patrol and teacher supervision during both morning and afternoon drop-off times
Screening of visitors via check in and visitors' badges
Comprehensive background checks on all faculty, staff and volunteers
Comprehensive crisis management and emergency preparedness plan
Emergency preparedness training of all faculty and staff
H1N1 information page with learning procedures in case of school closure
Close liaison with city fire and police department
School wide intercom system for immediate communications to and from all areas of campus

Our Philosophy
